![]() Welcome to Our company Italy is one of most industrialized and important countries in the world economy. Italy is also one of the founding members of the European Union (EU), it has the fourth largest GDP in the EU and it is a member of the Euro area, and therefore has a standardized monetary policy that guarantees low inflation and financial stability. Italy is a member of the Group of Eight (G8), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Italy guarantees international investors a high level of freedom for investment, business and trade, in fact, 100% foreign ownership is permitted in almost all sectors, while there are a few restrictions for defence industries only. Italy grants the same benefits to local and international investors, moreover, specific incentives, including those from the EU, are set up for any areas hit by unemployment. The law and the tax system have recently introduced advantageous treatments for corporations and investors. Italy is located in a geographically strategic position in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea and is a link between Europe, Middle East and Africa. Italy has a very active tourist market due to its warm Mediterranean climate, foods, arts, lifestyle, history, cultural and natural factors, magnificent architecture, variety of natural beauty such as mountains, lakes, stunning vegetation, sandy and rocky beaches. Investment in property in Italy is a highly attractive opportunity for the international investor. Italy is a primary tourist destination not only for foreign tourists but for internal market also. Not only are the most important tourist and historical towns - such as Rome, Venice, Florence, Verona - and regions - Tuscany, Veneto, the lakes of Lombardy - favoured by international investors, but, also, many new areas on the islands of Sicily and Sardinia where property prices are about 25% cheaper than on the mainland, moreover, regions of Puglia, Marche and Abruzzo are also up and coming investment regions. Many low cost airlines have opened routes to many of Italy's regional airports enhancing property prices in these areas and in those areas where no airlines routes are open as yet the projected increases of property value are as high as 20%. Tourists interested not only in visiting large cities, but, also in rural tourism are growing, so that, investments to convert old Italian houses into fabulous modern residences are also increasing. Moreover government grants are available for renovation projects in rural areas. Investments in the northern regions and around the lakes are twice as profitable since it is possible to take advantage of summer season incomes and those from winter skiing holidays. Anyway property prices become more favourable the further south you go.
